I had to travel with these goodies, so I opted for a new technique. These toppers are made of craft paper, and attached to lollipop sticks. Congrats Susie and Weston; I can’t wait to meet your little guy!

This week I had a request to turn my Chocolate Guinness cake into a cupcake. As the cake is pretty dense, I was a little worried it wouldn’t translate well into a cupcake. I made a few modifications, and it turned out perfectly. I stuck with the same cream cheese frosting that typically I make for the cake. It tastes great, but I think next time I’ll go back to my standard recipe, as it’s a little more fluffy.

I also tried making some kusudama flowers, to potentially use as cupcake toppers. While not edible, these paper crafts are so adorable, I can’t wait to use them for a customer! With a matching cupcake wrapper, these would be perfect for someone planning a dessert table. The color combinations and print possibilities are endless.
