My coworker Zoe’s son Charlie is turning 2 today! He is a true boy and loves anything with wheels. For his cupcakes, we decided on “dirt” covered cupcakes with wheels and a few with the number 2. (Don’t worry, the dirt is actually graham crackers and Oreo crumbs.

Nate and Athena had a casual barbecue for family and friends tonight, the eve of their wedding! I was excited to have carte blanche for the evening’s sweets. My only direction was to bring cupcakes! These chocolate cupcakes are topped with a swirl of vanilla buttercream and two hearts (in the wedding colors) stamped with the couple’s initials. I also had fun using some of my cake plates to display the treats.

Cant’ wait for tomorrow’s festivities. Here’s a sneak peek of the photos from the rehearsal!

My co-worker Nicole commissioned these cupcakes to match the Chrysanthemum invites sent out for Kirsten’s baby shower. The cupcakes themselves are carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Not quite a “push gift”, but I hope they makes Kirsten’s last few weeks of pregnancy a little sweeter!

A few months back I created name-day cookies and cupcakes for a Viking Magazine photo shoot. The digital version is now available online! The boy model enjoyed the frosting so much, it was hard to get a good photo of him without his fingers in the cupcakes!

These chocolate cupcakes with fondant toppers were designed for Penelope’s Playtime Party! My co-worker designed an adorable invite, which I used as inspiration for these tasty treats. Upon delivery, Penelope called me the cupcake lady. She’s one astute little girl!
