Hewitt-Altstatt Wedding

Kristie & Ben’s Forth of July wedding has a nautical theme, and I love her idea for the cake topper! This is key-lime cake covered in fondant and decorated with layered paper decorations. This cake is just for the couple (only the top tier is edible), and guests will be served key lime tarts. Stay tuned for a post on those sweet little dishes! I also have to share the photo of the cake at the wedding site! What a great location for a party!

Hewitt Wedding Cake Tasting

My co-worker Kristie’s wedding is coming up, and so I made a key lime cake with key lime buttercream for her to taste. Only she and her groom will eat the cake; the rest of her guests are eating key lime tarts! De-lish!

Abbey & Chad’s Wedding

Abbey and Chad requested a “bubble cake” from Martha Stewart’s wedding book. It’s a great go-to source for creative inspiration. This cake is 6, 8, 10 and 12-inch rounds covered in vanilla buttercream and swiss dots. The bubbles surrounding the bottom of the cake are small glass bulbs. I also made 10 sheet cakes to serve guests.

Tschida Anniversary

Stef and Troy used this unique monogram in their black-and-white wedding, so I recreated it for the top of this anniversary cake. The 6-inch square cake is composed of 3 layers of carrot cake and filled with cream cheese frosting.

Amy & KC’s Wedding

The bride and groom requested a simple, modern black and white wedding cake for their Oct. 10 wedding. This is a 5-tier display cake covered with white fondant. The stripes are black-colored fondant. The white details are piped in royal icing. Each of the 26 fondant roses is hand made.
