Perfect Party Parfaits

These chocolate pudding parfaits were requested for a small, intimate 18th birthday celebration. The birthday girl has had her fair share of cake, since there are two other family birthdays in a 3-week span. These fancy chocolate pudding cups are topped with freshly whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles and piped chocolate hearts. Right before they headed out the door, I added the number “18″ to each one.  They’re just waiting for one fancy candle to top it all off.

Cupcake To Go

Antonia turned 1 today and the only request was fruit cupcakes. I decided on a white cake with raspberry swirled into the batter, and raspberry buttercream. A hint of almond would take this to the next level, but most young ones don’t eat nuts until 18 months. Read the full article »

Celebrating Milestones

Stef’s dad and grandpa are both celebrating milestone birthdays this October. To celebrate, she requested a 2-tier cake with each level representing their favorite interests. And, to top it all off, they both enjoy fishing, so I created a local watering hole with two fishing poles just waiting for a bite.
