Abbey and Chad requested a “bubble cake” from Martha Stewart’s wedding book. It’s a great go-to source for creative inspiration. This cake is 6, 8, 10 and 12-inch rounds covered in vanilla buttercream and swiss dots. The bubbles surrounding the bottom of the cake are small glass bulbs. I also made 10 sheet cakes to serve guests.

/ June 1, 2011I ordered them from an online store called Wholesale Flowers and Supplies. I would order at least one package more than you think you’ll need; they’re quite fragile and do break during shipping.
